Ads stage 2: measurement before the first ad

DoneGoogle Ads

Before the first ad, 4 tracking tools were on every page and 9 steps of a visitor's way to a request were counted; Google learns from one result only: a request that becomes a paid job.

What we did

Is every page measured? Yes — 4 tools on every page: Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, your Meta pixel and ObserviX.

Which steps of a visit are counted? 9 steps on the way to a request:

Step Counted when the visitor…
Engaged visit opens a 2nd page or stays 60 seconds
Service viewed opens a service page
Contacts viewed opens contacts or locations
Quote opened opens the quote form
Form started starts typing in the form
Call tap taps your phone number
Text or email tap taps "Text us" or the email
Form sent sends the request
Request in progress the job moves to Contacted, Qualified or Booked

What does Google learn from? One result only: "Lead → Sale". A request counts as $50; when the job is paid it becomes the job's real amount; when it is lost it becomes $0. The 9 steps above are reported to Google but never used to steer the ads.

Is a call counted once? Yes. The site shows GoHighLevel tracking numbers (a pool of 4) that ring your main line. A call of 30 seconds or more becomes a job in the CRM, joined to the ad click that brought the caller. The call button in the ads uses your main number +1 (872) 339-1780.

And texts? Every "Text us" link goes to your main number, as you asked. A text tap counts as a step, not as a request, because the CRM cannot see the text itself.

How does Google match a request to its click?

  • Enhanced conversions: the customer's email and phone go to Google scrambled (hashed), never readable.
  • A 90-day window: a job paid weeks after the click still counts.
  • Google Analytics is linked, with its own "purchase" switched off, so nothing is counted twice.

Why it matters

An ad account that learns from paid jobs, not form fills, spends your money on the searches that bring paying customers.
